accord. to some, ◌َنَسَجَ الثَّوْب, because the weaver
adjoins the warp to the woof. (TA.) __

will not run. A poet says,

[And those, the sons of 'Adce, fell short of what
they should do, or delayed : aud I wonder at the

compares them, in their holding back from
aiding them, [see art. ,JI,] to the pulley that will

himself. Ex. نَشِبَ مَنْشَبَ سَوْء ◌ُ He fell into an
evil, or a misfortune, from which he could not
deliver, or extricate himself. (A, K.)

is a phrase of unpremeditated formation, like
or this phrase, which ; عَمْرَكَ اللَّه and تَعْدَك الله
occurs in a trad., may be incorrectly transmitted,
and should perhaps be أَنْشُدُكَ اللَّه :(IAth, L :)
نَشَدْتُكَ بِاللَّهِ signifies he said to him نَشَدَهُ or

[And hence the saying,] ◌ٍكَأَنَّمَا أَنْشِطَ مِنْ عِقَال As
though he were loosed Lfrom a bond such as is
called Jte ] : (S, Mgh, TA :) a proverb, relating
to an event's happening quickly ; (Mgh;) or
said of him who commences any work quickly ;
and of the sick when he recovers; and of a person
who has swooned when he revives; and of a
person sent to exccute an affair, hastening his
determination respecting it: (TA:) it is often
;كانّما نُشِطَ من عقال ,related in a different manner

النّصيص and النص however, I find it said, that
tiguify ◌ُالسَّيْرُ الشَّدِيد ; app. indicating that they
are inf. us., of which the verb is Jai, aor., accord.
to rule, :, signifying He went a vehement pace,
or vehemently : and Golius says, as on the
nuthority of Ibn-Magroof, that this verb is used
intransitively, with age' for its iuf. n., as signi-

the water wus dried up and the bottom apparent,

white]. (S.) The pron. in هرقناه refers to a
تَصَائِبُ - (.large bucket mentioned before. (TA
is also explained by A'Obeyd as signifying
Stones that are set up around a tank, or cistern,
to marh the quantity of water with which the

and sheep and goats : Aboo-Naar says, that it is
a tree having short thorns : not of the trees that
grom on lofty mountains; frequented by chame-

thus called because of its little sap : AM says,
that it is a large tree, from which are cut tent-

the camel that carries the water for irrigation,

scattered arrows among them, like as water is
