ScribeTools for ChatGPT and Claude
Turn scanned documents into editable Word files, searchable PDFs, text, tables, EPUBs, or translations. Available outcomes depend on your connected ScribeTools account.
- Connect ScribeTools in ChatGPT or Claude and sign in with your ScribeTools account.
- Ask which document outcomes are available.
- In ChatGPT, attach a supported PDF or image and request an outcome. If the host cannot transfer the file, ask for an upload link.
- In Claude, ask for an upload link, open it in your browser, sign in to the same account, and submit your file.
- Keep the job or submission ID. Ask your chat to check progress and return a download link when the job is ready.
Jobs run independently of chat and may take minutes or hours. Download links expire; ask for a new link if needed. Review OCR and translations against the source before relying on them.
Existing credits, upload limits, and export allowances apply. Free accounts can connect. Discover the outcomes available to your account in chat.
Troubleshooting
If sign-in fails, reconnect ScribeTools. If an upload link expires, request a new link. If the upload page says the account is different, sign in with the account connected to your chat. Reuse the submission ID after a network error to avoid submitting twice.
Disconnect in your host’s connector settings. Contact support if you need account authorization revoked.
